Cedarwood Essential Oil

Cedarwood essential oil is extracted from the wood of the Atlas Cedar Tree (Cedrus atlantica) which is native to the Atlas mountains of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. Cedarwood essential oil has a warm, woody scent that blends well with other wood scents, florals and some citrus scents. Cedarwood has a rich history of being used by many cultures, including the ancient Egyptians who used it in their burial practices, Nordic people who used it to invoke the spirit of Wotan and the Sumerians who saw the Cedar tree as the tree of life.

Cedarwood essential oil is high in sesquiterpenes, chemicals that are known to have aromatic properties which promote emotional balance and grounding. Add a few drops of Cedarwood essential oil to your diffuser to rebalance your day. The sesquiterpenes present in Cedarwood are also known to help improve your complexion due to their being astringent and oil balancing. Add a few drops of Cedarwood essential oil to your daily skincare regime. Cedarwood essential oil can also have insect-repelling properties. Simply dilute a few drops of the oil into water and apply to your skin.
