Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax liquid that comes from the seed of the Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) plant – a shrub native to southern Arizona, southern California and northwestern Mexico where is is traditionally used for treating sores and bruises.
Jojoba oil is also used to treat acne, psoriasis, sunburn and chapped skin. It may encourages hair regrowth. Jojoba soothes the skin and unclogs hair follicles.
Jojoba oil is also used as a carrier oil for essential oils for massage and for making skin and hair products.
Suggested uses:
Face Moisturizer
Apply four to six drops in the morning and at night before bed.
Hair Moisturizer
Add three to five drops to your conditioner or apply one to two drops to damp hair after showering.
Reducing Wrinkles
Use one to three drops of jojoba oil and apply it to wrinkled areas, then rub it into your skin in a circular motion until it’s absorbed.
Makeup Removal
Three to five drops of jojoba oil on a cotton ball or pad removes makeup without the unnatural chemicals in commercial products.
Lip Balm
One to two drops of jojoba oil naturally moisturises your lips.
Infections
One to three drops of soothing jojoba oil applied to the external areas twice a day can aid healing.
