Pine Needle Essential Oil

Pine Needle essential oil is extracted from dried pine needles from the pine tree commonly known for being Christmas trees. With a scent that will be familiar to many people, Pine needle essential oil has a fresh, woody and comforting scent. In many cultures, Pine trees are seen as being sun worshippers, or even the guardian of the sun. Historically pine needles have been used as a mattress stuffing due to it’s insect repelling qualities. The pine needles have also historically been chewed to prevent scurvy. Pine also has traditionally been used for medical purposes including relieving respiratory illnesses, colds, inflammation and headaches.

Pine Needle essential oil can be diffused to create a natural, cleansing and comforting scent. Add a few drops of Pine Needle essential oil to a diffuser. Pine needle combines well with other powerful essential oils such as citronella, as well as floral and herbaceous scents. Pine needle essential oil can also be diluted in a carrier oil to create a homemade massage oil to aid in relaxation and concentration. It is also good for balancing the oils in the skin.
