Rose Geranium Essential Oil

Rose Geranium Essential Oil is extracted from the flowers of the Sweet Scented Geranium (Pelargonium Graveo) and has a crisp, sweet and rosy aroma, which is more floral than a standard Geranium oil. Geraniums were traditionally considered to keep away evil spirits and arrived in Europe from South Africa in the 17th century. Rose Geranium blends well with other florals, citrus scents and light wood scents. 

Rose Geranium essential oil is widely used in aromatherapy to calm the mind and for relaxation. It is used as a natural anti-depressant. Astringent, deodorant and hemostatic, Rose Geranium has an anti-inflammatory effect, helping to promote healing, particularly of scars and wounds. Regular use can promote healthy skin. Dilute a few drops of Rose Geranium essential oil with a carrier oil and use directly on the skin for massage, or in the bath. A few drops of Rose Geranium essential oil in a diffuser creates a floral, uplifting and soothing fragrance. 

Rose geranium essential oil also has a marked effect as a diuretic.
