Sweet Basil essential oil, is also called Basil Linalool. The straw-coloured oil is made from is the flowers and upper leaves of Ocimum basilicum ct. linalool. by steam distillation. Bsil Linalool has a herbaceous aroma which is sweet and spicy, reminiscent of fresh basil. This provides a great top note to fragrances when blended with other oils.
